Here are the main uses of Hydroxyethyl Methyl Cellulose:

1. Thickener: 
  - Used in cosmetics like shampoos and conditioners as a thickener, forming a thin film on hair, making it look smooth and shiny. Protects hair from water damage without buildup after repeated use.

2. Binder:
  - An excellent adhesive that forms gels when mixed with water. Commonly used in making pills and capsules, it binds the ingredients to form easily swallowable pills.

3. Medical:
  - Utilized as an excipient in pharmaceuticals to bind all ingredients together. Used to coat pills to slow their release in the body.

4. Dispersant:
  - Acts as a dispersant in various applications, including household products like laundry detergents, food items like whipped cream, cosmetics like toothpaste, and medications like cough syrups and eye drops.

5. Concrete Mixtures:
  - Used in concrete for its smoothness and strength. Coats the inner surfaces of concrete pipes to ensure uniform thickness, reducing wear and providing crack resistance under harsh conditions.

6. Paper:
